Regular Live BladeCasts

I intend on broadcasting future BladeCasts at 8 PM (UK time) on Saturdays. This may not be every Saturday, but I'll see what I can do! You can find more information about upcoming BladeCasts in the BladeCast schedule (also available via the menu on the right.)

What is BladeCast?

BladeCast is Silver Blade's live broadcasting service, which employs the use of IceCast to deliver high-quality content to listeners.

Typically, I will broadcast live improvisation to let you "listen in" as I compose new tracks, recite parts of existing ones, etc.

Sometimes I may take a break and play some of my pre-recorded tracks, too.

BladeCast has existed for a while, although due to bandwidth constraints, only 2 people could listen at a time.

I decided to set up a dedicated IceCast server, so now the maximum number of simultaneous listeners is significantly higher.

How to Listen

For the widest possible compatibility, BladeCasts are available in streaming MP3 format. You will therefore need some software which is capable of playing streaming MP3s. If you can't find any, don't worry - check our list of players to locate one.

To listen to the BladeCast, click on the Live BladeCast link in the Listen Now box.

If you have problems connecting or listening to the BladeCast, it's recommended that you check the help pages.
